What’s included in my Streamer Trunk?

All Streamer Trunks come with: a guidebook to help you plan and run your party, decorations to set the stage, directions and supplies for at least 6 activities (and usually more!), and table service for 8 guests.

What is not in my Trunk?

While all Streamer Trunks include party favor bags and several take-home items for the guests from the activities, you may want to supplement with other party favors. We have curated some of the best to go along with our party themes, so check out our Extras!

Unfortunately, we haven’t yet figured out how to also deliver all the food and drinks you will need, but we’ll let you know if we do!

How long before my party should I order my Trunk?

That’s up to you! We recommend receiving your trunk at least 2 weeks before your event so you can read through the guidebook, order any additional supplies, complete the prep steps, and feel prepared for your event. But we know that’s not always possible and have known people to get their trunk only 24 hours before the party and still pull off a memorable event!

Once my Trunk arrives, how much work do I need to do?

While the prep varies by theme, you can count on about 2 hours of preparation. Our guidebook includes instructions for things that can be prepared ahead of time and how to set up on the day of the party.

What does a Streamer Trunk party look like?

While all of our themes are different in their own way, our parties follow a general outline that maximizes imaginative play and developmentally appropriate activities. Here is a general outline:

  • Craft: a project that can be completed individually as guests arrive
  • Narrative: everyone gathers together to read a book on the theme and spark guests’ imagination
  • Activities: 4-6 games and activities that mix in gross motor skills, fine motor skills, competition, and teamwork
  • Celebration: time for cupcakes and singing!

Do I have to follow the guidebook and party outline?

Of course not! There is no Party Police. The checklists and instructions in the guidebook are intended to make planning and hosting your child’s birthday party easier and more enjoyable for you. If it doesn’t, don’t follow it! Likewise, the activities build on each other and are designed in sequence, so we recommend going through them in their designated order. However, you have complete freedom to arrange them to best fit your circumstances!

What if I have more than 8 kids coming?

The more the merrier! Streamer Trunk Extension Packs are intended to expand your 8 person trunk to include a total of 16 kids. This means double of what you need (table service, craft materials, and game supplies) without doubling your whole trunk (guidebook, decorations, and some game supplies).

What if I have more than 16 kids coming?

With more 16 kids coming, you have a choice: You can buy 1 Streamer Trunk and 2 Extension Packs, which will give you everything you need for up to 24 kids. But you may find that some kids lose patience waiting for their turn in a few of the games, and that you would be better off doubling ALL of the activity supplies so that you can run the same activity simultaneously (for example: Unicorn Horn Toss). In this case, you may want 2 Streamer Trunks and 1 Extension Pack, which will also give you all the supplies for 24 kids but keep the wait time to a minimum. And… good luck!

What about additional adults, or drop-off siblings?

As much as we’d like to see Uncle Jack participate in the Unicorn Tail relay race, we think he’s just here for the cupcake. If that’s true, then you just need some extra table service items. Our Extras offer plates, napkins, cups, and silverware to match all of our themes.

For what age range are Streamer Trunk parties suitable?

Our initial product lines are aimed at ages 4-8, but we have plans for parties aimed at older ages in the pipeline.

Can I buy just the crafts and games?

While we offer curated party favors and table service as Extras, we don’t yet have the capacity to offer our activities individually for sale.

What do I do if an item in my Trunk is damaged/missing/incorrect?

We’re so sorry! Please contact us at help@streamertrunk.com right away and we’ll see what we can do!

I love your products, but I don’t see the theme I want…

Email parties@streamertrunk.com and check to see if it’s on the way! It takes about 3 months for us to create a Streamer Trunk so we usually know far in advance what themes are about to become available.

Oh no! The theme I want is out of stock - what do I do?

Email parties@streamertrunk.com and check when it will be back in stock. Since our Trunks are made up of 70 or more different items, sometimes one item being on backorder can hold up an entire Trunk. If we know when it will be available, we’ll let you know!

Shipping & Returns

How much does shipping cost?

Customers will be able to choose their shipping carrier, rate, and speed at checkout. Streamer Trunk ships with both USPS and UPS. If you would like to ship to a P.O. Box, you must choose USPS. 

If your order is placed by 12pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, we will ship the same day. All other orders will ship out the next business day.

We currently do not ship anywhere outside of the United States.

Do you offer expedited shipping?

We get it—sometimes you can't wait for the party to start! For those occasions we offer UPS Next Day Air®. As long as you place your order before noon Eastern Time, this means your Streamer Trunk™ package should arrive by 3PM the next day.

When can I expect to receive my order?

If your order is placed by 12pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, we will ship the same day. All other orders will ship out the next business day.

Once you’ve entered your address at Checkout, you can make the best choice regarding shipping speed for you!

You will receive tracking information as soon as it's available, so you can be waiting at the door when your package arrives!

What is your return policy?

We love our parties and are sure you will, too! If, however, the  products you receive don't meet your expectations, you may return them for a full refund to the original form of payment. To qualify, items must be returned in their original packaging within 30 days of the purchase date. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns for opened items or those that have been damaged after opening.

To start a return, you can contact us at parties@streamertrunk.com. We will send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Do you make exchanges?

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Can I get a refund?

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
